LORINE HOFFER
Owner, Licensed Massage Therapist
Lorine Hoffer,
a "recovering Type A personality", was drawn to massage
school in 1996 as a means to enhance her own physical, emotional,
and mental well-being. Lorine moved to Park City in October
2002 from the Washington, D.C. area where, for five years,
she owned and operated a massage therapy private practice serving
clients from 4 to 94 years old.
Lorine's training includes
Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Connective Tissue Therapy,
Neuromuscular Therapy, Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Heated
Stone Massage, Seated Chair Massage, Indian Face Massage, Canine
Massage, Reflexology, Polarity, and Hydrotherapy. In addition,
Lorine teaches private Couples Massage Classes and offers consulting
services for setting up and maintaining a dedicated massage
room in your home.
While Lorine specializes in deeper, specific
work she is happy to provide you with a lighter relaxation
massage. She has worked with numerous athletes, especially
runners and cyclists, and strives to provide each client with
the exact massage they want and need that day.
Lorine's 682
hours of Canine Massage training was received from the Lang
Institute of Canine Massage in Loveland, CO. Training included
not only hands-on massage, but also how to read canine bodies
and movement, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and more. The
program focuses on the entire dog and using massage as an integral
part of your pet's health and wellness program.
When not working,
Lorine enjoys travel, vegetarian cooking, natural healthcare,
and playing outdoors with her husband Ori, daughter Ilana,
and Vizsla Ginger. A member of the American Massage Therapy
Association (AMTA) and International
Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), Lorine
is licensed in Utah and certified Nationally (NCTMB).
