About Cloud 10
Each person is unique, so each massage should be too!
We specialize in customizing your massage therapy session
to meet your wants and needs of that day, whether is
be deeper more specific therapy or a gentler relaxation
massage. We realize taking care of yourself in this day
and age is more easily said than done, so we strive to
help guide and educate you in your understanding and
caring for your whole body. Now you can also take care
of "Man's Best Friend" with Canine Massage!
Cloud 10 was established to serve the Park City, Utah
area in 2003 by Lorine Hoffer, a recovering "Type
A" personality who was drawn to massage school in
1996 as a means to enhance her own physical, emotional,
and mental well-being. Lorine moved to Park City from
the Washington, D.C. area where she'd owned and operated
a massage therapy private practice. Why the move? Lorine
was raised in the D.C. area and had long sought a more
friendly, less stressful, more "wellness aware"
place to call home. Add to that her husband's Skeleton
hobby (the sport) and their love of the outdoors and
Park City was the perfect choice!
Lorine's training includes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue
Massage, Connective Tissue Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy,
Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage, Heated Stone Massage,
Seated Chair Massage, Canine Massage, Reflexology, Polarity,
& Hydrotherapy. Lorine also teaches classes in couples
massage (both privately and through Lifelong Learning),
stress management, and HIV/AIDS education.
Lorine's 680 hours of Canine Massage training was received
from the Lang
Institute of Canine Massage in Loveland, CO. Training
included not only how to massage dogs, but also how to
read their bodies and movement, anatomy, physiology,
pathology, nutrition, and more. The program focuses on
the entire dog and using massage as an integral part
of your dog's health and wellness program. The program
is as long or longer than many human massage therapy
programs.
A member of the American
Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Lorine is licensed
in Utah and certified Nationally (NCTMB). References
are happily provided. Please call or e-mail us with comments
or questions. Education is an important aspect of our
profession.
